	What is the LSIPT? The Livestock Sector Investment and Policy Toolkit Web Application (LSIPT WebApp) is a user-friendly platform that helps estimate the expected benefits of livestock-related interventions on production, poverty and food security. It provides evidence for informed decisions, including formulating policies, prioritizing actions and allocating resources, and for increased investments in the livestock sector. Login LSIPT

	What evidence does it generate? Performance of livestock production systems over time under a business-as-usual scenario, including: Animal population and production (e.g. milk, eggs) Gross and net income of livestock producers Vulnerability of livestock keeping households Performance of livestock production systems under alternative scenarios, including the impact of disease outbreaks, climate shocks, targeted investments such as vaccination campaigns and farmer capacity building. Assessments of the benefits of the proposed investments. 	Why use the LSIPT? The LSIPT helps identify the most effective investment opportunities aligned with agreed socio-economic goals, such as food security, poverty reduction, and rural development. Its use is participatory and, as such, it facilitates the creation of stakeholder coalitions and partnerships towards a common goal. Did you know?
